Research programme

The research programme ‘The regulation of Family Relations’ is divided into three themes. The first theme concerns the role of the government (for example, investigating whether the interference of the state in family life is desirable). This leads onto the second theme, which looks at the personal autonomy of family members (for example, examining what kind of arrangements family members make between one another). The third theme will apply the questions arising in the first two themes to transnational families.
